Gabriel Stromberg is a Seattle based designer, artist, and educator. He has earned numerous awards for his work as creative director of the seminal design firm Civilization. He is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana and grew up in various places along the Gulf Coast. Stromberg earned his BFA in 96 at the Atlanta College of Art. While there he explored various mediums and approaches from printmaking to ceramic sculpture. In 98, he moved to New York where he worked as an assistant to the sculptor Arlene Sheckett. In 2003, he moved to Seattle and shortly after founded the infamous No Space gallery with a group of friends. It was there, in the midst of curating exhibitions and organizing events and performances, that he found his true creative path while creating posters, brochures, and merchandise for the venue. In 2008 he attended The Seattle Central Creative Academy to study graphic design.
